Inspired by Eric Carle's illustration style, "I Will Never Forget That I Love You" follows two trees that represent the relationship and bond between a child and their grandparent - Sapling and Grandtree.
I Will Never Forget That I Love You
As an extension of my senior thesis entitled Mindful Moments, an Alzheimer's caretaking tool, I wrote and illustrated a children's book to ensure the entire family was supported and cared for post-diagnosis. "I Will Never Forget That I Love You" breaks down the reality of an Alzheimer's diagnosis in a concrete and sensitive way, allowing for the child to understand and positively move forward.
